TORONTO - The law offices of Juroviesky and Ricci LLP have filed a class action lawsuit in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice against Iovate Health Sciences Inc. and MuscleTech Research and Development Inc., the manufacturers and distributors of the Hydroxycut weight loss products.
The suit alleges widespread violations of various consumer protection legislation and certain common law causes of action. Juroviesky and Ricci LLP are seeking to pursue remedies against the Defendants for breaches under the Consumer Protection Act and the Food and Drug Act, as well as for Negligence and other claims based on the allegation that consumers were not made aware of the potential health consequences of using Hydroxycut weight loss products.
